On Wednesday 24 January 2024, OCL hosted another quarterly showcase to share some of the current works-in-progress with the community, plus our upcoming plans. Weren’t able to attend? Not a problem! Let’s summarize everything we discussed and we’ll also share how you can learn more.
During this session we showcased new OCL features:
- Auto ID assignment
- Auto sorting for new mappings
- Improved mapping filters
- Import/export capabilities
Other items that were highlighted include:
- First look at the upcoming OCL version 3 redesign with new workflows and FHIR integration
- Terminology updates: Released WHO-ATC drug terminology, with 2023 SNOMED GPS content release coming up
- Community partnership updates: New agreements and projects with HL7 and WHO, collaborations with HL7 Brazil and LOINC,
- Presentations at the 2023 LOINC and HELINA conferences
Since this was our first showcase of 2024, we also briefly walked through the 2024 OCL Roadmap, looking ahead at the progress we will be making on OCLv3. This roadmap sets the stage for OCL’s Year of Community, focusing on OCL FHIR Core, Smart Dictionary workflows, content syndication and other multi-server capabilities, community engagement, and more.
